ETS Investor Alert 4-28-08
Submitted by EnergyTechStocks.com
Though he’s hardly a disinterested party, Arch Coal’s chief executive, Steven Leer, expects power shortages in the U.S. within two to three years unless more coal-fired power plants are built. www.reuters.com
Emphasizing that much of the U.S. will by then fall below the 15% reserve level, Leer said that unless governors and environmentalists essentially back away from their coal-plant opposition, America’s power supply will be in big trouble.
Now before all of you green investors dismiss this as fossil propaganda, just ask yourself, what if he’s right? No matter who’s in the White House, he or she won’t be willing to take that risk.
Rumors of coal’s death are greatly exaggerated.
Until tomorrow.
