If one believes the United Nations, then the world is doomed. There is no other conclusion that can be reached when you consider two new UN forecasts.

The first is that global food production must rise 50% by 2030. www.livescience.com The second is that solving climate change will cost $20 trillion over the next two decades. www.abcnews.go.com

Does anybody seriously believe that either goal is achievable within the given time frame? Like so many other doom-and-gloom scenarios over the centuries, this one’s likely wrong too.

Or are we really all doomed?
