The fighting over oil and natural deposits north of the Arctic Circle is seriously getting out of hand.

As this story notes, www.bloomberg.com the Russian military is now training soldiers to defend what Moscow claims is its oil and gas deposits against claims by the U.S., Canada, Norway and others.

Could an honest-to-god shooting war erupt over the last best place on Earth for oil and gas?

Or should we say, could another shooting war break out (Iraq being the first)?
