A start-up Japanese company says it has a technology that can increase the fuel efficiency, and decrease the carbon dioxide emissions, of existing gasoline-fueled vehicles by 30%. www.guardian.co.uk

It promises to do so by adding a small hydrogen generator that increases by about 3% the hydrogen in the intake air, which the company says will result in a cleaner burn. The company “hopes” to bring its system to market within three years.

Until tomorrow.
