The Lignin is not completely consumed in the process leaving humus which has value or can go into another process such as pyrolysis. The "cracking" of hydrocarbon molecules certainly works although it is only a diesel-like fluid which comes out. This is not fully up to standarsd but normal diesel engines will run on it. It is like with biodiesel that a specific norm has to be created for this type of fuel. What has not been solved in the Green Power plant is the separation of residue byproducts from the process which accumulate in the base oil and eventually will turn the whole batch sour.
