I don't know if anaerobic fermentation (or digestion) is relevant for wood byproducts. Wikipedia says that doesn't work well on wood because the Lignin. However, wood buried in the ground does rot and release Methane gas in the process. The Lignin is not completely consumed in the process leaving humus which has value or can go into another process such as pyrolysis.

Dear Mr. Reese:
I'm involved in the conceptual format of 'Mag Lev' horizontal and vertical wind generation. Traditional mechanical designs lend them to inefficiences and increase downtime, thus extending payoffs and hampering grid reliability.
I worked in the polymer side of Gulf, Chevron and Chevron Phillips for 21 years before downsizing pressure and a lab chemical exposure. I've implemented digital scan technologies and improved the physics and accuracy of melt index of polymers that had never been done since 1963. I worked closely with the Chevron Technology Center in Orange, TX and the Phillips Technology Center in Bartlesville, OK. Also, assisted with changes to equipment and process characterizations on ASTM methodology.
Mr. Reese me met once and I would like to talk to you again. I had tried to get back to the energy side of things because I was a petroleum Landman for 8 years. So combine that with my other previous experience as technical maintenance planner and project coordinator. Additionally, troubleshooted problems for the technology centers and other laboratory locations.
If you would like to know more about me contact the ISO Coordinator, Neil Nethery at the Baytown Cedar Bayou Plant [phone withheld] and District Sales Manager, Charlie Brame. They have the correct insight information about me and what I can bring to the table.
Last but not least as with environmental and saftey, I had 7 years as an 'Emergency Response Team' member at 'Advanced' level. Additionally, extensive recycling and safety team leader involvment.
I'm also a area leader on a civic project to combine both solar and wind into a coastline erosion prevention project and providing power to the grid. I'm in early stages of justification, alternatives, definition and design. I have an architectual student out of college(acquiring hands on experience)working on project layout as with visual aids before environmental impact and requesting for funding.
I appreciate any consideration in the matter.
Sincerely,
Edward W. Rowland

I think it is fantastic how the stimulus funds are making a difference. They are being taken advantage of all the time with the installation of geothermal heat pumps to replace high energy heating and cooling systems.

I have seen the GreenPower plant of Spitzauer in Pasco WA several times, also for longer period.
It is not so bad what he has done and he certainly avoided a number of mistakes from the Koch technology. The "cracking" of hydrocarbon molecules certainly works although it is only a diesel-like fluid which comes out. This is not fully up to standarsd but normal diesel engines will run on it. It is like with biodiesel that a specific norm has to be created for this type of fuel.
What has not been solved in the Green Power plant is the separation of residue byproducts from the process which accumulate in the base oil and eventually will turn the whole batch sour. Spitzauer tried all sorts of filters but none worked so far.
And where fraud comes in again: Spitzauer was too optimistic on contracts coming in and spent downpayments and escrow money for himself which he has no longer available and now cannot pay back. Several court cases are pending again! against him!

Pretty racist and hypocritical of the UBS banker Heathcolte seeing as how Pursuit Dynamics is capitalizing on patented intellectual property invented by an American, as a mixing and spray technology and marine propulsion system that they "borrowed without any permission" in 1998-1999 and poorly reverse engineered while the intellectual property was still under valid US patents.

It is interesting that the "energy content of biodiesel" is lower. It's funny how statistics can be manipulated to reach a biased conclusion. Thanks for a very well written, and enlightening, article.

I don't know any thing about current but because my country is just coming from out of 15yrs. of civil war we don't have current and community member ask me to find the best company that can supply us solar panels to give us full current for now until the government can be able to bring current maybe in five to ten years from now so we are ready and want to get the full details of how long your products solar panels will last for and the require voltage and Amp that up to 150 houses will need and their cost because you should include Inverter and batteries we will have to use. Thanks.

My comment is some of us that taking all our time to write those companies really need the Solar panels with all the things that will make it to give us the kind of current we need but some times there will be no reply at all so I hope you will try and reply me because I really need it. I need the amount of solar panels and batteries and Inverters that can supply up to 150 houses and I also need the company to advise the amount of solar panels and the watts I will need for that project.
