Honda, Japan’s second-largest automaker, is transforming itself into a “home-use energy business” and part of that strategy is to sell home solar globally.

Honda’s strategy appears far different than all its automotive rivals, and it could just be the company’s biggest mistake, given that it seems to be built around fuel cells, a technology that never seems quite ready for prime time.
